These past few months, I’ve been deep into learning game art and environment creation with Unreal Engine 5. After many failed attempts, I’m proud to finally present:
"Sentinel Express: The Forgotten Relic"
Olyth, a planet shaped by droid ingenuity, was struck by the Great Static — a solar wave so powerful it shattered networks and severed connections, leaving droid communities to survive in isolation.
Since then, they’ve been piecing their world back together, one circuit at a time.
Hidden deep in a forgotten mountain region stands a relic of the old world: a Sentinel Express depot. Once a vital hub in Olyth’s delivery network.
The idea behind this project was to create an environment that feels like it wants to be explored.
Every room serves a purpose within the world, and I spent a lot of time thinking about how the layout would make sense logically.
Visually, I aimed for a style somewhere between Stray, Sifu, and a bit of retro 90's flair.
To reinforce the feeling of an alien world rebuilt by machines, I also designed a fictional typography.
This project took me nearly four months to complete.
It was my first time truly putting the player at the center of my creation, I wanted it to be aesthetic, artistic, but most importantly, playable and believable.
It was a super fun challenge, and I learned so much along the way!
